A hydrofoil is a lifting surface, or foil, that operates in water.
A hydrofoil is a lifting surface, or foil, that operates in water. They are similar in appearance and purpose to aerofoils used by aeroplanes. Boats that use hydrofoil technology are also simply termed hydrofoils. As a hydrofoil craft gains speed, the hydrofoils lift the boat's hull out of the water, decreasing drag and allowing greater speeds.
The application of the hydrofoil is relatively wide. It can be installed in a variety of surface equipment, like surfboard.
After the surfboard is fitted with a hydrofoil, lift can lift the surfer and stay in the air. Since the pad is no longer in direct contact with the water body, the resistance encountered becomes smaller. the rider can use the legs to swing the board and thereby give an additional impulse to the wings that have a special hydrodynamic shape (similar to the aerodynamic air wing) and thus rocking to hold out until the next wave!! Underwater, it looks like a bird waving its wings.
Hydrofoil surfbaord may be the water sport of future. Thank you!
