On the last Thursday of November in the United States, "Thanksgiving Day" is the day when the whole family reunites with a turkey dinner.

Early 17th century, the British Puritans were persecuted. In September 1620, 102 Puritan boarded the "Mayflower" sailing boat and arrived in Plymouth, United States on December 26 to begin a new life. However, these immigrants simply did not adapt to the local environment and only 50 survived the first year after winter. The following spring, local Indians gave them many necessities and taught them how to cultivate on this land. In the autumn of this year, immigrants got a bumper harvest. In late November, immigrants invited Native Americans to share the delicacies made from corn, pumpkin and turkey. Thanks for their help and thank God for a bumper harvest. Since then, Thanksgiving has become a regular holiday in the United States.

However, with the influx of more immigrants, their conflicts with the Indians grew more and more serious and the bloody war of madness over land was begun. Unfortunately, Indians not only lost their land ownership, but also ruined the lives of many ethnic groups. So, this festival is also known as "Thanksgiving Day".

Every Thanksgiving day, the United States is crowded around the country. People go to the church to do gratitude and prayers according to the custom. Dressup parades, theater performances and sports competitions are held in both urban and rural areas. Schools and shops also take breaks as required. The children also imitate the appearance of Indians that year to wear strange clothes, painted on the mask or wearing masks to sing in the street, blowing trumpets. Family members who live outside their hometowns will also go home for the holidays. The whole family is gathered together to chew up the delicious turkey and say "Thank you!" to the family.

Thanksgiving can spread in China and other countries, perhaps because "gratitude" has become a lot of people's inner demands and a widely accepted culture.
